Many sellers are wondering if today is a good time to[…] sell their home. Home prices are at an all-time high due to high demand and lack of inventory in many price ranges throughout Wisconsin Communities.

In Fond du Lac County sales continue to be strong in all price ranges below $300,000. In this price range approximately one half to three quarters of existing homes on the market have accepted offers. In 2019 Fond du Lac County saw 758 single family home sales year to date. This year MLS sales are now only down 8% which indicates a very strong rebound from a weak start earlier this year during the start of COVID pandemic.

“Klapperich will likely have a stronger 2020 than last year which is a blessing considering national and world events affecting our marketplace,” said Steve Klapperich, co-owner of Klapperich Real Estate. “We had a delay in inventory this Spring but are awaiting a large volume of closings in the months ahead. Our average sale prices are exceeding list prices. The 100,000 to 150,000 price range is the sweet spot as this range accounts for a third of all home sales in our county. 43 of the 59 listings for sale in this price range have accepted offers!” he stated.

Strong interest rates, a large millennial group of buyers, and limited inventory continue to peak home prices.
