Most homeowners have thankfully never needed to use their fire extinguishers. Some were purchased new and others are inherited when a home is purchased. And today the majority of homeowners do not check whether their extinguishers need to be replaced or take advantage of the free replacement recalls of 2009, 2015, and 2017.

This recall involves two styles of Kidde extinguishers: plastic handle fire extinguishers and push button Pindicator fire extinguishers. The recall involves 134 models of Kidde fire extinguishers manufactured between January 1, 1973 and August 15, 2017. Simply click here to determine if your models are on the recall list.
